Chemical Engineer specializing in Polymers and Petrochemical Processes (PUC/RS), Master's in Road Infrastructure (Poli-USP) and PhD in Civil Engineering (UFRGS). He has worked for 39 years in the road paving sector, with an emphasis on asphalt technologies, and for 21 years as an international technical consultant. He was the technical manager of the Ipiranga Petroleum Group for 17 years, being one of the pioneers in the use of modified binders and cold asphalt micro-surfacing in Brazil. He is the Director of ASFALTEC Consultoria and a consultant for Compasa do Brasil and Afirma E-VIAS. Emeritus member of the IBP Asphalt Commission and member of the ABEDA Technical Committee.
